Systolic right ventricular dysfunction
This pathologic mode is characterized by the following list of hemodynamic changes:
-
reduction of stroke volume due to decrease of right ventricular inotropic status, accompanied by increase of end-systolic ventricular volume;
-
increase of end-diastolic ventricular pressure, i. e. ventricular filling pressure;
-
increase of end-diastolic ventricular volume (myogenic dilatation) due to reduction of óright ventricular wall elasticity and increase of its stressless volume;
-
venous systemic passive congestion down to development of edema, it is modelled by increase of total blood volume.
