The parameter is included in mathematical description of the dependence of capillary systemic blood flow from the difference between arterial and venous pressure:

The parameter characterizes the dependence of capillary conductivity from nervous and hormonal influences and is used for modelling of pathologic modes, where the effect of deviation of capillary sensitivity to these influences exists, for example “vegetative vascular crisis” and others.
