Arterial systemic model

The system of correlations (7) - (11) is concretized conformably to systemic arteries (AL compartment) .

Arterial systemic pressure PAL is determined by this dependence on the blood volume VAL in this section:

(23)

In the formula (23) volumetric elasticity GAL describes rigidity properties of arterial walls, ωAL - stressless volume in this section of vascular system. Values of volumetric elasticity and stressless volume decribe arterial tone. In our model these values linearly depend on neurohumoral factor γ:

(24)
(25)

The formula (24) describes the increase of arterial wall elasticity under the increase of neurohumoral input, the formula (25) describes the arterial constriction under the increase of neurohumoral input.

The derivative of arterial blood volume VAL is evaluated with the difference between input and output blood flows, i.e. the differential equation takes place:

(26)

where FHLAL – blood flow through aortic valve, FALVL = Q – blood flow through systemic capillaries.

Values of blood flows FHLAL and FALVL are determined by formulas (20) and (10) .

The conductivity value YHLAL in the section of aortic valve is a model parameter, i.e. one of the components of parametres A vector.
