Oxygen demand
The parameter describes an oxygen metabolism speed. Its physical meaning – oxygen demand speed in ml/sec. It is included in the equation system describing oxygen metabolism as the value RO2
In the equation (4) the value of tissue oxygen delivery gO2 is proportional to values of tissue blood flow Q and arteriovenous oxygen difference AO2 - VO2. In its turn a change speed of venous oxygen concentration is proportional to the difference between tissue oxygen delivery and oxygen demand
