WLIntel Wireless Solutions Implementation
The Course is oriented to learning of bases of operation of wireless local area networks (local area network) constructed according to system of standards IEEE 802.11. In course the description of main theoretical aspects of wireless network technologies is given. This theory is to understanding of operation of products of Intel for wireless local area networks. The course also gives skills of designing, implantation and administration of the wireless local area networks constructed on the basis of products of Intel. The practical part of course is oriented to detailed learning of products of the set of Intel PRO/Wireless 2011B LAN and acquaintance to products of the new set of Intel PRO/Wireless 5000 LAN. After learning course you can - describe IEEE 802.11 architecture, operation physical and MAC-levels IEEE 802.11;
- to understand radio-frequency effects in wireless local area networks;
- to understand the measures of information safety accepted in IEEE 802.11 and to know how of them to use;
- to describe key units of operation of networks under standard IEEE 802.11Õ, such as synchronization, beacons, power management;
- to configurate and manage points of access (access points) and wireless adapters of the set of Intel PRO/Wireless 2011B LAN, using Hyper-Terminal, Web browser, Telnet and utilities of Intel;
- to create standalone wireless networks, and also to integrate them with wire networks;
- to describe functions of roaming and routing in wireless networks and to know how them to customize;
- to understand operation Mobile IP and to configurate wireless devices for Mobile IP;
- to identify WLAP and to configurate points of access as repeaters and as bridges;
- to describe and carry out effective learning working space for various conditions of maintenance with usage of Intel PRO/Wireless 2011 Site Survey;
- correctly to select places of allocation of points of access and aerials.
