NSFComputer Networks Security Fundamentals
Present course is the first course of level I of program SCP (Security Certified Professional). The purpose of the given course - to give network administrators understanding of details of operation of the networks connected to information safety, and to work out skills of implantation of technologies of a safety. The main attention is given to properties of TCP/IP protocol, characteristics of routers Cisco and functions of operating systems of Windows NT/2000 and UNIX/Linux, providing information safety. The level of 1 program SCP is devoted to DEFENSE. It is focused on critical regions of information safety which make defensive base of networks: internetwork screens (firewalls), systems of detection of intrusions and virtual private networks (VPNs). Courses NSF and NDC are prepared for delivery of 2 examinations and obtaining of degree Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) After learning course by you can - understand multilevel TCP/IP architecture and use protocols included in these set and commands;
- to work with IP-addresses, masks of a variable length (VLSM), classless subnets (CIDR);
- to describe structure of package IP and nested protocols of top levels;
- to understand operation of routers and routing information protocols;
- to research operation of lists of access control for routers Cisco;
- to research base and amplified customizations of safety of Windows 2000 and to test their efficiency;
- to research base and amplified customizations of safety Red Hat Linux and to test their efficiency;
- to define the main Internet-components and to research methods of their hack;
-
To research and work with standard tools of network attacks;
- to research and work with standard tools of attacks of Windows 9x/NT/2000 and Linux;
- to identify main methods of counteraction and to know how to use them in practice.
the Contents of course - Bases of network safety.
- Specific features of TCP/IP protocol.
- Structure of package IP and his analysis.
- Routing and lists of access control (Access Control Lists - ACL).
- Protection of a Windows-computers.
- Protection of Linux-computers.
- Safety in the Internet and in WWW.

Students Course is developed for managers of computer networks and managers of information safety. The course, also, is useful to the heads of an average link responsible for safe maintenance of intelligence systems on the basis of Windows NT/2000 and UNIX/Linux Course gives good possibility for the experts having high levels of certification: MCSE, CompTIA Network +, CNE, CCNA, etc. to deepen the knowledge in the most actual area of modern information technologies - network safety and to receive advanced degrees Security Certified Network Professional and Security Certified Network Architect. Preliminary preparation Presence even one certification from resulted: - CompTIA Network + or i-Net +,
- Microsoft MCP, it is recommended MCSE,
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP,
- Novell CNA, it is recommended CNE
