M2152Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server
This course allows students to gain necessary skills of installation and a configuration of Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional on servers and the workstations which are included in workgroup or the domain, and also experience of installation and customization of Windows 2000 Server as a file server, a print server and a server of terminal access.

Necessary preparation:
Training on course M2151 or presence of equivalent knowledge of main network components that includes understanding of main functions of the operating system of Microsoft Windows 2000 and bases of the network constructed with application of the given operating system. Knowledge of types of accounts of users and key units of system of safety of Microsoft Windows 2000. Skill to use administrative utilities. Knowledge of the main network protocols used in networks of Microsoft Windows 2000. Understanding of bases of TCP/IP protocol, understanding of distinctions between types of network architectures, knowledge of the network communication models used in networks of Microsoft Windows 2000. Knowledge of the hardware used for creation of networks, knowledge of bases of network remote access services and the protocols used for operation with remote systems, knowledge of the generally accepted requirements to system of safety at organization of access in the Internet, and as possession of network utilities and the programs which are included in Microsoft Windows 2000. Knowledge of English language for perusal of methodical manuals and executions of practical jobs.
